JEFIT is a health and fitness app for Android that focuses on recording workouts and tracking progress over time. It is developed by Jefit Inc., and the listed version is 17.5.0. The app is intended for users who want to follow a workout regimen and see how their exercise routine develops through graphs and charts.
The app supports different experience levels and provides tools for planning weekly exercise, tracking calories burned, and reviewing daily activity. It can also store workout data locally on a phone or tablet.
Workout Tracking and Experience Levels
JEFIT lets users choose between beginner, intermediate, or advanced mode depending on their ability. For beginners, the source notes that lighter weights and longer rest between sets can be used until they become more experienced. The app records aspects of the exercise routine so users can view progress over time in graphs and charts.
Users can map out a weekly exercise schedule, track calories burned, and follow progress toward a healthier body composition. The app covers both cardio and weight training, and a simple graph can show progress for either type.
Daily Summary
The daily recap is described as the app’s most important feature. It details the workout and is intended to motivate users to give their best. To see a list of daily workouts, users can tap the Daily Summary button in the top left corner of the screen.
Goals and Statistics
JEFIT allows users to set weekly goals. Examples given in the source include five workouts per week or 100 points in 30 days. Users who are focused on muscle growth goals can track growth every week.
The app includes a detailed progress graph. Users can track how much weight they have lifted in each workout and how much they have lost over a few weeks. They can also see physical changes that occur during a period of losing a few kilos. The flowchart container supports multiple filters so users can focus on specific process components.
Data Storage
JEFIT can record all data locally on a mobile device, such as a smartphone or tablet, even without internet access. Updates are not stored locally but are synchronized with the server. The source notes that this can be a problem for some people because they then cannot use any other fitness apps on the same device.
Custom Exercises
The app allows users to create custom workouts to meet specific needs. This feature can help users learn new exercises and track them in the app at the same time. The source gives Bench Press 3×5 as an example of a unique, programmable exercise that tracks the number of repetitions completed at different weights throughout a workout. This feature is described as helpful for experienced bodybuilders and potentially useful for beginners trying to gain muscle or lose weight correctly.
