WWE Mayhem is a wrestling-themed action game for Android. Players take on characters that look similar to well-known real-life wrestlers. The game is built around a fighting style in which two characters attack each other and use their techniques to defeat the opponent. Attacks seen from wrestlers on TV can be recreated when the right conditions are met.
The controls are simple enough that no special control skills are required. The game screen is not covered by on-screen controls; operations are done entirely with swipes and taps. You can quickly touch the enemy or perform a swipe to make your character execute a light or strong attack. Tapping your character activates a protection mechanism. All attacks are performed simply, and the player needs to observe and react as quickly as possible.
Wrestler Roster and Unlocking
The game includes famous wrestlers such as John Cena, and you accompany them as you defeat opponents. Each wrestler has a certain number of stars that indicate a level of rarity corresponding to their popularity in real life. Unlocking wrestlers works through a gacha mechanism that operates with a slider. If you are lucky, the slider can stop at a wrestler's portrait and the unlock is completed. The appearance and facial expressions of the characters give a feeling of familiarity, even though they are not exactly the same as in real life.
Characters can be accompanied by unique skills, and players can finish off opponents with powerful attacks. Each character possesses an exclusive skill that is not always possible to use. An energy bar helps activate a character's ultimate skill; when the bar is full, a button appears. This helps launch moves accurately and at the right time.
Match Flow and Progression
To get a character that suits you, you must overcome many challenges available in the game. Opponents are shown on the game's progress map, and your choice is to accept the match to increase your resources. Throughout the game levels, you can also find a number of limited events that increase your money-making ability. These events are also a way for players to satisfy their passion and enjoy the joy of winning.
Power never stands still, so players must always find ways to optimize their characters to new levels. Each person possesses different skills, costumes, and accompanying elements to promote their potential in gameplay. Throughout the game, many loot and bonuses are continuously unlocked and mark your progress.
Live Events and Competitive Modes
If you are a fan of WWE, you will know shows like Raw, Smackdown, and many more. The game includes weekly live event challenges. In Versus mode, your friends can also become rivals and cause certain difficulties. This is an opportunity to show off your skills against other players and have unique highlights. Special missions and events require many people to band together to form a powerful Alliance.
As a wrestler, the player launches powerful attacks until the opponent is completely defeated. The combat gameplay has features with a high level of stability and compatibility with handheld devices.
