Speedcheck is an Android app in the Tools category that measures internet connection performance. It tests WiFi, cellular and wired connections, reporting download speed, upload speed and latency. The app is developed by Internet Speed Test Etrality and is listed here at version 5.10.4.
Beyond a single speed reading, Speedcheck supports scheduled checks, connection monitoring over time, and diagnostic tools for network troubleshooting. This release is a MOD version that includes Premium Unlock.
Speed Testing Across Connection Types
Speedcheck measures the real-world speed and performance of an internet connection. The supported connection types named in the source include WiFi, cellular, fiber optic, DSL and satellite. Tests can be run on demand, and results include download and upload speeds along with latency and packet loss metrics.
The app uses global servers and is described as optimized for accurate measurement worldwide, including on ultrafast networks. Its stated use includes verifying the service delivered by an internet service provider.
Scheduled Checks and Ongoing Monitoring
A central capability is scheduling speed tests to monitor connection quality routinely during chosen time windows. This supports checking consistency during peak usage periods and running extended tests to identify intermittent issues.
- Set scheduled speed tests for routine monitoring.
- Check connection consistency during peak usage periods.
- Run extended tests to identify intermittent problems.
- Review graphs showing long-term performance changes.
- Use collected data when holding providers accountable.
Network Diagnostics and WiFi Tools
For WiFi networks, Speedcheck provides additional signal strength measurements and assistance with router placement for maximum speed. The app also includes network diagnostics tools for troubleshooting connectivity problems and for pinpointing factors that limit wireless performance.
Interface and Test History
Speedcheck presents its network analytics through a mobile interface. Tests can be run and detailed results reviewed, and a speed test history supports checking long-term trends. The source states that testing is unlimited and free, and that results are exportable.
