The game combines music listening with ball control. Songs play a central role, and the player interacts with arcs that appear in time with the music. The source material describes a colorful musical world with many tunes and a range of sound effects.
Gameplay and Ball Control
In Smash Colors 3D, the player uses a provided ball to direct the activity. When the start button is pressed, the player is taken to the location where the sound is coming from. The sphere must be controlled so that it contacts each arc as it appears. Focusing on touching the same arcs is described as important. If the wrong song is played, the game ends and the player loses. The goal is to go as far as possible to create playlists.
Keeping possession of the ball throughout the challenge is described as important. The source notes that avoiding unnecessary mistakes matters. The challenge increases when a chorus is nearing its end. Avoiding getting hit and letting the ball roll is described as the best way to create the necessary noise. The source also advises trying not to let the ball land more than once on squares of the same color.
Music Library and Progression
Smash Colors 3D includes a large music library with many diverse subgenres. Songs from recent times and from previous decades are included. The source states that new, high-quality songs are added regularly. Remastered tracks contain some catchy new lyrics. Players can choose their favorite music genre, and the game is described as adaptable to a variety of tastes.
As the player progresses through the levels, all songs in the game can be heard in full. The length of each song determines the duration of each level. The source mentions that the color changes depending on the mood of the song.
Ball Customization
Players can personalize Smash Colors 3D by replacing the balls with their own. Textures, patterns, and colors can be changed. Balls of different shapes can be used, which the source says can lead to unexpected situations. Balls are described as brightly colored, spiked, or spherical in the shape of Superman. Diamonds are required to personalize the balls. The number of balls a player can reach increases as they progress through the game.
Visual and Audio Effects
Sound is described as an essential component of the experience. It contributes to presenting a spectacular image that attracts players' attention. Vibrant colors and fast-paced sound are mentioned as attracting players. Players can travel to musical planets in space with shimmer animations. Completing the game reveals many beautiful locations. The source also mentions a constant stream of shocks and obstacles, and different settings and skins available for different players.
