Quizlet is an Android education app published by Quizlet Inc. It is built around learning new vocabulary, and the app brings together several learning methods. The material describes flashcards and other learning aids as part of how vocabulary study works in the app.
This listing shows version 10.56 and a listed size of 31M. A separate source file variant is also present: an APK named Quizlet v10.8 (Paid).apk, version 10.8, size 33MB. The MOD label shown for this listing is Premium Unlocked.
Learning Vocabulary with Flashcards
The app can help you learn new words using flashcards and other learning aids. Thematic vocabulary sets are used, and you can create a set of flashcards with a bunch of new words. The material notes that you can study anywhere, including while waiting for the bus to go to school in the morning.
The source also describes two main methods of learning new languages: memorization and regularly writing new words on paper. It states that the results of that method are not entirely reliable, and that if you do not periodically record your knowledge, you will most likely forget it. It also states that it is unrealistic to expect you to be at home and ready to work continuously on the computer, and that the learning process is not always sustainable.
Listening and Pronunciation Practice
In addition to using flashcards, the app includes a feature that highlights the word and allows you to listen to the word. The material connects this to reading with the correct intonation. It states that the saying will be easily absorbed by listening to the speech, as it will be repeated many times. It also states that this learning method allows you to learn how to read and pronounce the language even if you cannot attend formal sessions. The stated aim is to improve listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
Tests and Exercises
The app will also offer quick assessments at critical stages of the learning process, possibly in the form of engaging games. The material states that exercises will test your memory, and your score will be recorded. It describes going through some basic exercises to improve your memory after choosing the correct word from the Quizlet word list.
The source also mentions that if you can accomplish both of these tasks, you will have more time to relax while still having time to do your exercises, and that as a result you will feel more comfortable and excited about your learning.
Study Strategies
The material states that the app will build you a series of learning strategies to help you memorize a large number of new words in a short period. It also states that even though many different steps can be mastered, finding a beneficial method is not easy. It advises being confident in your abilities and trying not to worry if you forget a few words in each test. It also states that the steps to mastering a language are not easy, but if you put in the time and effort, you will succeed.
