Qlango is a language learning app for Android from developer Qlango d.o.o. It covers 45 languages, a group that includes widely studied options such as Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin alongside less common ones such as Estonian, Serbian, and Ukrainian. The app is built around study sessions, games, exercises, and progress tracking that can be used wherever you are and whenever you have a spare moment.
This release is version 5.0.21 and is distributed as a mod with Premium Unlocked. The listed download size is 15M.
Language Selection
The catalog of 45 languages is not limited to a few major European or Asian languages. Alongside Spanish, French, German, and Mandarin, Qlango includes languages such as Estonian, Serbian, and Ukrainian. Learners can work on more than one language at the same time if they feel motivated to do so.
Game Modes and Exercise Types
Qlango provides five different game modes, giving learners a choice of activities that suit their learning style and current mood. The games involve translating texts, unscrambling answers, and creating sentences from words. A revision activity for previously studied material is also part of the game set.
The exercises can be customized to concentrate on the skills a learner wants to improve. Someone who has difficulty with listening comprehension can increase the frequency of oral exercises. Someone who wants to grow their vocabulary can set the app to give more weight to word matching games.
Three-Stage Hints
Qlango uses three-stage hints that are described as innovatively designed. These hints are intended to help learners arrive at the correct answer while keeping the exercise challenging.
Learning Approach
The app takes an intuitive approach to language acquisition rather than relying on rote memorization. During the games, learners translate actively into the target language instead of translating back into their native tongue. This is meant to simulate real conversations and keep the brain engaged. English translations and definitions are limited, which pushes learners to think in the new language. As learning continues, more content and abilities are unlocked, creating positive reinforcement and an incentive to keep practicing.
Flexibility for Different Schedules
Qlango is designed to fit different lifestyles and schedules. The games are quick and bite-sized, so they can be used while commuting, waiting in line, or during short breaks without taking time away from other priorities. Longer study sessions are also possible when a learner wants more immersion. Missing a day or even a week does not create a problem, because the app lets learners set their own pace without pressure.
Progress Tracking and Sharing
Learning progress is tracked in real time. The statistics show increases in vocabulary, grammar, and syntax, as well as a reduction in workout hints. Learners can review their progress after each session or look at long-term growth trends. Data and achievements can be shared on social media, which adds a friendly competitive element. Learners who prefer not to share can keep their learning metrics private while continuing to follow their fluency improvement.
