PREQUEL is a photography and video editing app for Android, developed by Prequel Inc. It brings together filters, effects, templates, and editing tools in one place, with the aim of turning images and videos into colorful results. The app is listed at version 2.5.0 with a size of 166M.
Editing is organized around feature groups and tabs. Effects and filters can be applied with a single touch, and many adjustments can be fine-tuned afterward. The app also supports users who are new to editing by offering templates and by allowing AI to take part in the editing process.
AI Photo Filters and Effects
PREQUEL provides a large set of resources for both images and videos. Filters and effects can be applied to see an immediate change, and further tweaks can be added to adjust color harmony. Users without editing experience can refer to filters that are used by many other users and then choose ones that match their own style.
The camera includes additional effects and filters. Applying new colors to the camera changes the appearance of the people being photographed. More than 500 resources are available, and these can be combined in different ways.
Video Editing
Videos can be imported and edited inside the app. Basic editing includes cutting unnecessary parts and reconnecting important content into a unified video. Effects can also be added to make a video more colorful and impressive. For a faster result, templates can be used and only the missing parts added.
Users with editing experience can adjust details such as speed and focus on the subject. Effects are applied simply, which keeps attention on the important elements of the video.
Editing Toolkit and Combos
The app's features are divided into tabs, and each tab covers an aspect of image or video editing. Elements added to a project can form complete combos, which the app can store. Multiple combos can be created, and after later uses a suitable combo can be selected for the content a video is meant to convey.
Work can be saved as formulas for future edits. The tools are presented so that both beginners and experienced users can work quickly.
Text and Stickers
Text can be added to videos by choosing a font and color, such as white with a black border, which is often suitable for subtitles. Stickers are also available in many styles and designs and can be placed at chosen moments. The effect of large or attention-grabbing stickers depends on how they are used.
Avatar Creation
Avatars can be created by choosing a suitable image and adding filters and effects until the result is satisfactory. If the starting point is unclear, AI can be used as support for requests. The image or video changes noticeably, and the result can still be checked afterward. Effects and images can reflect a personal style.
