OsmAnd+ is an Android travel and local app built around offline maps and navigation. It is developed by OsmAnd and listed here at version 5.4.7. The app supports offline map viewing, navigation, route planning, GPS tracking, and OpenStreetMap integration.
This listing is a MOD release. The MOD label is Premium Unlocked, and the MOD items include OsmAnd Live and paid features unlocked. The MOD details are listed separately below.
Offline Maps
OsmAnd+ supports offline map viewing, so you can access maps without an internet connection. The app lets you search for different locations on the map and download maps to your mobile device. Because maps can be used offline, the app is suitable for places without signal support or during travel in areas without internet. Offline access also avoids data charges when using the app.
Navigation and Routing
The app works as a navigation device to help you find your way. You can connect it to a car, bike, or motorbike and enable voice recognition. The app then indicates the desired location and provides the fastest route from your location to there. Voice recognition can also be used offline.
Turn-by-turn guidance is supported through connections with different vehicles, including bicycles, motorbikes, and cars. Routing is described as optimized, and the app allows you to use voice search anytime and anywhere. Offline capabilities let you use the location feature when offline, and the app provides directions in that state.
For route planning, you can enter your travel route and the app analyzes it to produce a convenient route. Locations in an area have different avatars, which you can use to see where to move first. The app also provides travel suggestions, including routes to the nearest or most deserted road, and suggests interesting places nearby for visiting tourist destinations.
Custom tour routes include suggestions on places to visit and a list of pictures. The app also provides comparisons of travel distance to help you choose. Routes are adjustable, and the app outlines the characteristics of a travel route and provides suggestions during selection. GPX files can be exported or imported to make sharing faster.
Recording and GPS Tracking
A symbol appears on the map at your current location, and it moves as you move. You can send GPS positioning to friends, and their unique symbols appear on the map. Symbols and settings can be changed with your avatar for easier identification.
GPS tracking lets you track your location and the location of relatives and friends on the observation feature. Different files and music tracks can be saved into GPX for the search process. The OSM platform helps you share trips easily, which can save time during travel.
OpenStreetMap Integration
The app updates the map regularly so users can keep up with information about a place. It allows you to set up positioning, record the moving process, and search to support data storage. The maps are increasingly improved, and different map types are provided, including 2D, 3D, and terrain maps.
Direct editing lets you update various data and save it in a trace file when needed. Frequent updates let users change viewing modes and make choices based on their needs. Regional maps are regularly updated to serve user needs and refresh important data.
