Ice Fishing Simulator is an Android sports game from developer dreamapps.ru. It places fishing in freezing conditions, where the technique is described as more complicated than usual. The reward for that extra effort is a range of surprises, and the game is presented as something to do when you are bored and have nothing else to occupy your time.
In this simulator, the amount and quality of what you pull out of the water reflect different aspects of your fishing ability. Skilled players put their methods to use quickly, and the fish they target are not described as escaping easily. The stated aim is to reach the intended goal at all costs.
How the Fishing Works
The game describes a sequence of steps for each attempt. First, you travel to the location where you plan to place the hook. Next, you drill a large hole to raise the fish and position the hook. Bait is attached to the hook, and the line is lowered slowly into the water. After that, the task is to wait for the target to enter the trap.
Staying calm matters, because the necessary action has to be taken once a fish is hooked. The source also notes that you need to calibrate the force used to lift the fish and wind in the line gently. A dynamometer is provided for changing this force. According to the source, doing everything correctly gives you over a 90% chance of catching the fish. Handling the fish improperly is described as causing them to swim away quickly.
Fishing Tools and Equipment
The game treats fishing gear as an investment. Special lures are used to attract fish quickly. These lures can resemble worms, bugs, or small fish in different colors, or a combination of many dishes. A fishing rod is required for the best results.
A range of reels is offered to match the rod, and resistance is described as increasing in proportion to the price of the receiver. Better equipment is linked to going deeper and catching more fish. The source advises investing in a quality rod and plenty of bait to catch big, heavy fish. Equipment can continue to be improved for the sake of wealth.
Fishing Areas and Progression
A map serves as a guide for finding a suitable fishing spot. Each location is expected to come with full descriptions and a list of all available prizes. The source also mentions that a large number of other players can be observed sitting at these locations.
You choose where to place the hole. Travel time is described as negligible because the character can be driven in your chosen direction. Reaching the next level makes more areas accessible. These areas are described as places where rare sea monsters can be hunted, giving a lot of money and a place in the collection. Fishing luck is also said to have a significant impact on the prize.
