EWA: Learn English & Spanish is an Android app in the Education category, developed by Lithium Lab Pte Ltd. It is designed to help users reduce fear when learning a new foreign language by using movies and stories they have seen. The app focuses on learning sentence patterns from these materials so users can communicate with native speakers. The learning process includes games that help users brainstorm vocabulary and remember it longer.
The app is suitable for beginners as well as other learners. Its content is described as unique and stimulating. The MOD version of EWA includes Premium Unlocked.
Learn with Movies and TV Shows
EWA offers a learning approach based on movies and TV shows. Instead of dry knowledge, users apply what they learn in practice. The source of knowledge is prepared and associated with famous movies. Real documents become teaching tools for speaking skills. The content is described as unique and stimulating users' learning interest. Even beginners can use the app to improve their skills.
Read and Listen with 10,000+ Books
The app includes a large number of books. Famous works are supported in translation into 5 different languages. Users can improve their reading skills and also listen to new words and read them correctly. The app divides areas from basic to expert, depending on the reader's level.
Knowledge from movies is integrated into exercises. For example, a short sentence is taken, and the image in the corresponding video corresponds to it. Users listen to the video again and choose the missing word in brackets. After completing the exercise, users continue to the next steps to say the sentence fluently.
Master Conversations with Oxford Dialogues
Grammar, vocabulary, and pronunciation appear throughout the app. Movies that are highly rated and have friendly content become resources for practicing English. To reduce fear of facing a language, EWA provides easy-to-read literary materials in bilingual format. Dialogues extracted from movies are sayings from everyday life. With support from Oxford experts, the app helps users improve foreign language skills. The app asks users to repeat what they just learned to avoid focusing only on entertainment content.
Remember Words with Spaced Repetition
Games are part of the EWA experience and are considered a tool for improving skills. Questions are designed in the form of games to create psychological comfort and make users not feel afraid of a new foreign language. Users confident about their vocabulary can play crosswords and challenges with other players. Whoever lasts more time is the winner, and survival time reflects the number of vocabulary words that can be used in a period of time. There are many ways to test reflexes and get vocabulary back in your head, such as flashcards or games. Through tests, users can see their own progress.
