Core Gameplay
Clash of Clans combines village building, troop training, and player-versus-player battles. You attack other players’ bases to gain resources. At the same time, you must protect your own base and the resources you have collected. Defense towers are strong, so you need to plan your attacks carefully to reduce troop losses.
The game also includes a Builder Base mode with 1v1 Versus Battles. In this mode, you can unlock new characters and try different builds. You can also compete in real-time Versus Battles against other players and push your trophy count higher to climb the Versus Battle leaderboards.
Clan Wars and Leagues
You can create or join a Clan with friends and take part in Clan Wars. Clan members can support each other by sending troops to defend a teammate’s base. The game includes Clan War Leagues, where you can test your strategies and move up through the ranks. Clan activities also provide rewards such as magic items and medals that add to your resources.
Troops and Spells
There is a large variety of troops to unlock and upgrade, including Barbarians, Wizards, Dragons, and many others. Spells are also part of battle. Some spells make your troops stronger, while others damage enemy structures. Examples include Rage, Heal, and Freeze. These spells are meant to help your army against strong defenses. You can customize your army and plan different attack strategies to take down enemy bases.
Village Building and Defenses
Designing your village layout is a major part of the game. You can arrange your base to create a defensive plan. You can also build and improve defenses to protect your resources. Heroes such as the Barbarian King and Archer Queen can be unlocked and leveled up.
Clan Social Features
Clans are not only for wars. You can make new friends, chat with clanmates, donate troops, and share attack strategies. Clan Games and Capital Raids are ways to earn magic items together with your clan. These features support cooperation and long-term clan development.
Builder Base
The Builder Base is a separate mode with its own characters, defenses, and troops. You can unlock new content, build defenses and troops that are unique to the Builder Base, and compete in 1v1 Versus Battles. Progress in this mode is tied to climbing the Versus Battle leaderboards.
